Creating a node

The process of creating a node is similar for all types of node.

To create a node:

1. Either click on the node's button on the toolbar or select the appropriate create command from the node menu.

2. The cursor changes to create mode, indicated by the symbol.

3. Click anywhere on the main workspace to create the node at that position.

Tip: It is conventional to place the node somewhere to the right of the data source node, as the position would reflect the flow of tasks in the KDD stream.

4. The node is also displayed in the project tree. Until you have linked it to a data source, the node is placed under KDD Tasks.
