Dist Node

You can use the distribution node to plot simple histograms. Distribution nodes are commonly used to determine the number of records that belong to each class in the database (for example: the number of records in class YES and class NO). The distribution node is most useful for investigating the frequency and ratio of values within a field.

For categorical values, one bar is plotted for each unique value; for numeric fields, the field is discretised into equal-width bins before being plotted. An additional feature allows the distribution of records within each class to be highlighted using stacked bars.

Options

Full details of the options available for the distribution node can be found on the distribution options page.

Notes

For a large number of unique entries or bins, it is best to maximise the window to improve clarity.
