Toolbars: Introduction

A toolbar is a collection of related commands that are represented by buttons. As long as the toolbar is displayed on your screen, you can execute a command simply by clicking on its button.

There are two main toolbars in WITNESS Miner:

The standard toolbar buttons enable you to create new projects, save them and open existing projects.

The control toolbar buttons change the state of the application to normal, link or delete mode

There are also six node toolbars, which enable you to add nodes to your project:

Problem specification toolbar

Data cleansing toolbar

Pre-processing toolbar

Data mining toolbar

Evaluation toolbar

Exploitation toolbar

When you click on a button on one of the nodes toolbars, WITNESS Miner enters create mode (indicated by a symbol next to the cursor) so you can place the node in the workspace. Alternatively, double-click on a node button to place the node's icon in the centre of the workspace, then drag it to a new position.

Once you have created the node, WITNESS Miner returns to normal mode.
