Advanced SA Options - Temperature Stage Termination
The temperature stage termination options determine when a
temperature stage ends and the temperature will be update according
to the chosen cooling schedule. Spending a long time at a high
temperature can explore a large amount of the search space by
accepting worsening moves, but this could also waste time looking in
the wrong directions.
The temperature stage termination options should be used in
conjunction with the cooling
schedule options and the initial
temperature options.

-
- Proposed moves
- Terminates the current temperature stage after a
specified number of proposed moves.
-
- Moves Limit
- The number of proposed moves after which the
current temperature stage will terminate.
-
- Geometric Ratio
- At the end of each temperature stage, the moves
limit value is multiplied by this ratio to increase the
number of proposed moves per temperature stage.
-
- Arthimetic Constant
- At the end of each temperature stage, this constant
is added onto the moves limit
value to increase the number of proposed moves per temperature stage.
-
- Accepted Moves
- Terminates the current temperature stage after a
specified number of accepted moves.
-
- Moves Limit
- The number of accepted moves after which the
current temperature stage will terminate.
-
- Huang86
- The Huang86 method will terminate the current
temperature stage after a certain statistical measure is satisfied.
-
- Within Count
- A parameter used with the Huang86 method of
temperature stage termination.
-
- Tolerance
- A parameter used with the Huang86 method of
temperature stage termination.
